I started my adventure to learn the in-depth language of South Korea. It has been fun so far but a little challenging since I have always been around Americans for the most part in my life. It has only been the last 5 years that I have been around the Korean culture, and it is only every three months or so that I am down to meet with the in-laws.

So on top of wanting to pick up the Italian language, I will now start to learn Korean as well. I will try to keep up with the Italian, but if it becomes too hard to learn both (which I think it will), than I want to learn Korean first. The reason is that I just got back from visiting my Korean in-laws and it sparked my interest to really learn the language.

Since my lovely wife told me I needed to be more romantic, I had the goal today to do just that. And boy did I. I won’t go into all the mushy details, let’s just say that I probably said I love you more times than ever. And since we were on the road today, I got her a few small surprises at all the stops on our trip.

Romanced it up

Let me tell you that it felt really great to show my romantic side with my wife, and I am sure that she was quite pleased as well. I also wanted to include in this post a list of romantic ideas from myself to get the sparks flying for some others that may need a little help.

My wife recently told me to read the new Twilight series of novels. Now why I know I will probably not do this, what I did learn is that my wife wants me to be more romantic like the main character in the books. How do I know this you might ask, well she told me. After hearing this, it did make me aware that I am not so romantic anymore.

So today I practiced at not being such a smart ass. Normally I at the very least have a very sarcastic attitude in my mind while talking to people. Sometimes my filter shuts down and I let it out, but today I held back and even cut the thoughts out. I have realized that it doesn’t do most folks any good to act like this, so I quit doing it.
